Anti-lock braking is the most advanced braking system in automotive vehicles. The ABS has come with 2-channel or 4-channel. ABS helps to detect the vehicle’s braking effort on the slippery surface and also helps to control the skid of the vehicle.

TCS first helps detect which wheel is moving freely rather than the other rotating at different speeds.

5. Lane Keeping Assist

Lane Keeping Assist helps to maintain the vehicle running in a straight line on the highways or in crowded areas. It detects the edge of the road and the distance of the side part of the vehicle to the other lane roads. It also prevents to make the steering changes to right or left.

This system works with the data from the camera of the vehicle’s position on the road with the lane. In some of the cars, this sensor also helps to steer the vehicle gently to prevent any collision or hazards. A driver can manually stop and switch off the system when you drive a construction area or road blockage case.

6. Adaptive Cruise Control

Adaptive cruise control helps the vehicle control the vehicle to run on the road at a certain speed and maintain a certain distance from the vehicle ahead. This system uses radar to detect the vehicle or the substance ahead and controls or changes the lane according to that.

The warning signal can be in the form of visual alerts, such as an indicator light in the side mirrors or on the dashboard, or audible alerts, such as a chime or beep. This system helps to prevent any unconditional damage to the vehicle.

8. Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

When the vehicle moves backward for parking or any other situation, the vision behind is limited, so this sensor helps to detect the upcoming object near the vehicle. The sensor helps the vehicle detect the object coming towards and alert the driver. In some vehicles, this system also applies brakes to prevent any collision.

The system uses a camera that guides the driver to park or reverse the vehicle properly. In the reverse gear, the vehicle needs proper guidance to the different substances, so this vehicle can help to control the edges to control or stop any damage.

9. Driver Monitoring System (DMS)

DMS system helps the driver to sleep or any unconscious moments that can lead to an accident or any damage to the vehicle. This system uses a camera inside the cabin with an infrared sensor to detect the driver’s behavior. It monitors the head position, heartbeat rate, eye tracking, and even biometric data.

If the DMS determines that the driver’s attention is waning or that they may be impaired, it generates a warning to alert the driver. This warning can be in the form of visual alerts, such as warning lights or messages on the dashboard, audible alerts, such as a chime or beep, or haptic feedback, such as vibrations in the seat or steering wheel.

10. Adaptive Headlights

This system uses sensors such as weather, and steering angle to position the light according to that, to make a clear and visible road. One of the key features of adaptive headlights is their ability to illuminate the road around corners as the driver steers.

These adaptive headlights help the driver to have a clear vision of the road. This system also controls the automatic leveling of the lights, and even on the highways, it glows brighter for a clear vision. This can involve dimming or shading specific areas of the beam to prevent glare in the rearview mirrors of other vehicles.
